Affiliate Marketing Tutorial - Step 7: Making More Money with Affiliate Marketing

While you can make a very handsome income as an affiliate marketer, promoting affiliate products isn’t he only way you can make money with your affiliate website.  There are many tools to monetize your site including the fact that you can make a great income selling ad space on your site. 

Forms of advertising revenue: 

AdSense delivers great click-throughs and high revenues because the advertisements placed on your site are targeted to what your visitor is looking for.  Google's robot technology finds your keywords and matches them with relevant ads.

Selling ad space to relevant businesses. If, for example, you have an affiliate website about Rock climbing with children you can sell ad space to camping businesses. This doesn’t directly compete with your products and works as a great supplement to your business.   

Selling ad space to relevant businesses in your newsletter.  Just like selling ad space on your website, selling ad space in your e-zine is a good source of revenue.   

Other forms of revenue: 

You can sell your own products or resell relevant products on your website.  Once you have built a solid affiliate website, consider adding a product or two of your own.  These types of products can be electronic information products like an e-book.   

Don’t forget back end selling.  The goal of back end selling is to make your customer aware of products similar to products that they’ve purchased.  This can be accomplished with an auto responder sent to customers that have just made a purchase.   Back end selling has a strong reputation in building strong affiliate programs and will build customer loyalty.   

Affiliate marketing is a wonderful way to get into the world on online businesses and working from home.  It offers very little risk and allows you to create a website and an income writing about and discussing topics that you love and are passionate about. 

You don’t have to worry about shipping, shopping cart software, or even providing a service – you simply have to write copy or provide copy on subjects that you know and love.  Additionally, it gives you the opportunity to help others while making a profit – it doesn’t get better than that!
