Two Sisters Gourmet™ Consultant
Yummy Party Mom: Jan Nordvall Two Sisters Gourmet™ Consultant
Interview and Article by Alice Seba, Editor of
InternetBasedMoms.com
One day, while browsing a work at home site, Jan Nordvall came
across a business opportunity she couldn't pass up. Two Sisters
Gourmet™ offers packaged gourmet foods sold in a tasting party
setting. They have everything from bread mixes, wonderful dips,
dessert mixes, soup mixes, dressings, marinades and spices, sure to
make your mouth water.
Jan had been looking for a home based business doing something she
would enjoy and she loves cooking. She was also looking for
something that would interest her husband, so she could count on his
support. Luckily, her husband also loves cooking too and is quite
creative in the kitchen. Two Sisters Gourmet™ was a natural fit.
|
Organization, desire, and perseverance are the
keys to her success, says Jan.
"Never quit when business is slow," she
urges. It's important to be flexible and try different approaches when one
approach doesn't appear to be working.
Jan is also serious about her working hours, which are set out on her
calendar.
If her husband cannot watch the children at that time, she will
find a babysitter or swap with a neighborhood friend.

Jan does some of her marketing on the Internet through advertising and
networking, but most of her business is generated in her client's homes and she
loves it: "We really have fun and yummy tasting parties" says Jan. She also
attends expos, fairs and contributes to fundraisers.
"The Two Sisters Gourmet™" is perfect for a fundraiser", Jan says emphatically,
"Everybody loves to eat. The product list is small so sending a flyer home in a
backpack is easy." The products also lend themselves to seasonal promotions too.
Jan is currently working on a St. Patrick's Day fundraiser with a school for
potato soup and beer bread. Her next school fundraiser is for Cinco de Mayo,
complete with black bean and corn salsa. Schools earn 20% of the sales for their
school and Jan enjoys giving something back to the community.
Jan's business plan includes continuing to build her client base, adding to her
team and generally getting people familiar with the product. She also has her
eye on the cruise the company is offering as an incentive for their consultants
and fully plans to meet her sales goals to get there. Ultimately, her goal is to
grow her business so that she will never have to return to working for anyone
but herself.
Jan is a mom of two, Allison
6 and Connor 2 1/2, who was adopted from Kazakstan 1 1 /2 years ago. Prior to
the adoption and starting her own home business, Jan was employed in the high
tech industry for over 20 years. Jan urges you to visit this international
adoption site and find a home for these wonderful kids:
