I would ask some of the people you know who use VAs already. They are usually happy to tell you who they use and point you in the right direction. Plus, if that VA cannot help you, he/she may know someone else who could.

I think this is easier than going to a forum and having to screen many people before finding someone to fit your needs. I'm not against looking at those forums and in fact do recommend them if that's the way you want to go but if you can get a personal recommendation from someone you trust then that's where I'd start.

I made a guest post on Lynn Terry's blog with tips on hiring a VA, there are also some articles on my site where I give ideas on working with VAs as well :)
