Newsletters

Postby tishialee on Sat Jul 14, 2007 12:24 am

As part of learning everything I could about internet marketing, working at home, etc, etc I went around and signed up for several newsletters, well ezines (or whatever you want to call them) and now I've realized that I just don't have time to read 1/2 of them.

I have a newsletter folder set up in my email account and I went in there tonight and there are 80 some ezine mailings from the last month-n-half that I just haven't had time to sit and read.

So I guess it's time to 'clean house' and unsubscribe from some of them. Which means that I'll have to actually go back through and read them to see which ones are going to be beneficial to me which will be a bit time consuming....lol.

I used to be like that too but now I only have a select few that I subscribe to. Even now, I don't get to them sometimes for a week or more. Luckily though, I have all subscriptions coming to a separate email address so I don't have to look at it until I have time to sit and read them all.

I'm very protective of my email address and very few get through. Helps cut out the noise and stay focused. It's nice to stay on top of things, but oftentimes, it causes more distraction than it's worth.

I've done that myself, Tishia. I'm wondering, if there are some that are more worth it than others? Which ones would you recommend, ones to stay away from?

Are you looking for online business newsletters? I'm probably missing some, but I'd stick with:

http://www.ibmomsnews.com (I see mug on their still, but it's All Mila's baby now)
http://www.income.com (sign up for the updates...site still in progress)
http://www.michelfortin.com (sign up for blog updates)
http://www.selfstartersweeklytips.com/

...those will guide you in the right direction, IMHO.
