What have you done for your business this week?

Postby Mel on Wed Jul 02, 2008 12:52 pm

Whether you're just getting started or have had a business for years, it's important to continually work on your business. Sometimes you may organize your desk, other times you apply marketing techniques or update your website with a fresh new look, if you're just getting started, maybe you're doing research.

So what have you done for your business this week?

I have been networking online this week and have generated several new leads. I have also wrote 5 pages for my SBI site. They aren't posted yet, but are written.

And my retail sales have been good. I've delivered products to 5 new customers.

I also have teamed up with a local business (hair salon and fitness center) to provide a V.I.P. month for her customers. We are partnerting to provide my products to her customers for the month of September. I will use it to promote my business locally and she will do it as an appreciation for her customers.

Wow, look at you two go! Bringing on new partners, gaining customers and teaming up with people. It sounds like you're doing great.

I reorganized my email and my google calendar to make it easier for scheduling work time ... and to prevent myself from overscheduling! Something I have been very guilty of doing in the past.

I took a vacation! I know it sounds silly, but I haven't taken one in years. I posted a notice on our site, closed our eBay store down, and took a breather.
I didn't even check email once.

Know what? It was still here when I came back and had a pile of orders waiting.

I'm back, a little scrambled, but refreshed.

Loretta... Getting organized is great, it helps clear the mental clutter too so you can focus on what needs to be done.

Treece... that is a great thing to do for your business! There's nothing worse than getting bogged down with work and not being able to take time off. So when you do get a chance for a vacation or just an extra day or two break, it can make you feel like a new woman.

I've been slowly adding new pages and if the pages I have are not showing up in the search engines I've been redoing them.
