Cutting Your Family Budget

So many of us are feeling the economic pinch in one way or another. One of the first things we tend to do is cut back on unnecessary family "wants and needs." What have you cut out or reduced in order to find more money for the really important things?

We have cut back on pre-packaged foods and take-out. Grocery prices keep climbing and where we used to get two carts full of groceries for a few hundred bucks, we now can barely get one cart full... and I am feeding teens w/ bottomless pits. I hate shopping so I only go once a month except to pick up a few items here and there. That helps keep excess spending down too.

Other than that, we're just trying to cut back on utility usage and excess travel.
