Pistachio Pudding Cake

Pistachio Pudding Cake

Ingredients


1 box yellow cake mix
1 pkg instant pistachio pudding
1 cup 7-Up
4 eggs
1 cup oil
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

Mix ingredients in mixing bowl; beat 4 minutes at medium speed. Bake
in greased and floured Bundt pan or tube pan @ 350 degrees 50 minutes,
until cake springs back when lightly pressed.

Do not under bake. Cool in pan 15 minutes; remove and cool on
rack. Frost with Pistachio-Cream Cheese Frosting.

I don't like pistachio, but I'm intrigued by the use of soda in this recipe....

do you think we could swap out those flavors and make something similar? I'm thinking vanilla pudding and Dr.Pepper! Mmmm Dr. Pepper cake sounds good to me 8) I may have to experiment!

Shoot! I forgot to grab a yellow cake mix when I went to the store tonight. All I've got in the pantry is devils' food. Next trip I'll remember to add it to the list, I definitely want to give it a try.

I'm thinking just a drizzle sugar frosting, or whipped topping for the Dr.Pepper cake flavor though. Obviously we don't want pistachio cream cheese icing on that one :lol: What do you think?
