Are you a product of your product?

Postby melodyt on Thu Dec 13, 2007 6:44 pm

Do you use the products you sell? Why or why not?

Everywhere I look around my home, there is something from my business including some beautiful limited edition prints I had framed and hung on the wall. Yes, I do use my products every single day.

I have loads of stuff I still use from my old DS business as well. Looking forward to hearing about you.

Take care,
Melody

Buying from your own store!

Postby gojimom on Sat Dec 29, 2007 2:36 pm

I agree!
I still use some products from my old Business, that I have left, but mainly use my own product line.
Why buy from another store when you have your own?
You can safe so much buying from yourown store house of products!
And how can you get a Passion about your products and Business unlles you are using them daily??
That is how you build a Belief in the Products & Company, by using the products, whether supplements, or whatever it is you market.
You can help so many people when you can share from the heart how your life has been touched or changed from using your companies products or if your Finances are Increasing you can share that with other hurting people and enable them to better theresefl anf thie Finanaces!
Thats what is so fun about this Industry! We are equipping people to reach their Goals and Dreams! When don't have a personal story about what our products have done for us , what can we offer?

Definitely, I absolutely use the products that I sell. It's one of the most important things I can do for my business.. I personally can't promote a company that I don't use the products. It really helps to know your product and use your product. :D

Audrey, I could probably give you a good run for your money! My kitchen, pantry & freezer is Organized. Oh and I had enough so our travel trailer is as well.

It's nice to see other's use their own products, actually it amazes me when people don't use what they sell.

Take care,

One of the reasons i joined my DS company is because of the products!! When I need to do a homeshow I have to gather all the products I show from around my house! I use them at shows AND at home to decorate my house! Walk into my house and I could do a homeshow! LOL

I had to smile at this one.

One of the facets of my business is that I am an independent distributor with a company that produces wellness related products. A friend and I have joked that we would work other businesses in order to buy as much product from this company as we desired because we love them so much and they make us better in some way.

After eight years I still order at least $100 dollars a month. I am containing myself because I could easily order more.

I think that is part of what keeps a business fun is when you truly enjoy your products and they have changed your life in some way.

I am a distributor of gourmet candles , partly because I LOVE candles..and have always burned them. Now I found the best ones I've ever burned and they are in my kitchen, dining room, den, living room and bathroom. EVen my front walkway outside smells amazing!LOL

You can totally tell my company in my bathroom. Bath and body products galore and then candles everywhere else in the house. But it's obvious that I was with tupperware for quite a while in my kitchen. I rival most pampered chef consultants with my kitchen as well. lol

When I did direct sales I don't think I could have sold it if I didn't use it. It would have felt weird to me.

I am

Postby lisamommy on Thu Oct 23, 2008 3:08 pm

I now only buy lotion, shampoo, all my personal needs only from the company I rep with. I also would never buy my jerky anywhere else now, especially because JD's is antibiotic free and natural. Would not trust any others.

I agree that you can't sell a product to someone else or even refer them to your co. unless you know the products and can tell them how much you love them. Otherwise you are kind of frauding them

custom embroidered items

Postby initial-impressions on Thu Oct 23, 2008 6:42 pm

I have custom embroidered towels, sheets, bathrobe, aprons, kitchen towels, etc. all over my house.

When I have a new prototype to make for the website, I personalize it with the names of friends or family. Occasionally, I have contests to generate a name to put on something that I need to photograph for the website.
