A Solo Ad is an ad/email sent out to a list of people. Depending on the size of the list, the price of a solo ad can vary.

So basically you pay for the ad, and the list owner sends out your ad to their entire list.

Hope this helps!

I've seen two types of solo ads....

1. an ad you pay for that is sent by an ezine owner to his/her distribution list

2. there are several folks who advertise that they'll send your ad to their yahoo groups. They belong to say 300 groups and they advertise "solo ads".

For the solo ad to be effective, you will need to send the ad constantly .

another tip:

having a blog of your own with content also increases your chances of earning traffic by 60% . Its free to have blogs at or where you can add your business content profile and home- based businesses you wish to promote.
