I have been ripped off so many times myself. On one occasion I reported a puppy store that ripped me off and sold me a sick puppy and wouldn't pay any vet bills or give me the promised registration paperwork. I filed the report on http://www.ripoffreports.com and in the report I said "scam" then after about a year, as I was working my home business, one of my prospects googled my name and found it in connection with ripoffreports and the word "scam" and then assumed that I was trying to scam people and that I had been turned into ripoffreports. That was so shocking to me. I almost wish that I wouldn't have filed the report because now it is always going to be listed that way on google. Unless you actually visit the site, people could assume that it was me who was the scammer. Scary. I never thought of filing the report in a username instead of my own legitimate name.

It does make me so mad though when I invest money into something and then the only way to recoup that money is to rip other people off. I always take the loss! I never try to pass that on to someone else!

Good luck to all of you filing the rip off report, but I would suggest thinking twice about using your real full name.

Thanks for posting your story, mommyof6. I'd never even considered that someone could come across one of your reports and think that you were the scammer. Kinda scary. I'll definitely be aware of that from now on.

Rip off report is a good one they virtually never take posts down, so if you are a being with sharp practice techniques watch out, your name will be available for all to see.
