Don't wait for your plan and behind the scenes to be perfect. If you wait for that, you'll never get started. You can tweak as you go along and improve continually as you get feedback. Jump in ;)

the best advice I have received but tend to let slide.. .. like when i am waiting for someone I've outsourced a project to finish and I feel like I have nothing to do so I start another idea... is to stick ONE THING at a time, work on that until it makes money, then outsource the work on that one project, and move on to the next.

Don't be afraid to move out of your comfort zone. Sometimes it can be hard to step out when working at home and you often get caught up in your own little world. Stepping out helps stimulate your mind with new ideas.

Mine goes along with Loretta's. Unfinished projects/ideas don't make you any money - just get them going. Don't wait for them to be perfect before you do something because then you'll never do anything.

Can't recall the best advice I've received, but the best quote that guided me daily (particularly during the early years) was this one...

Being defeated is only a temporary condition; giving up is what makes it permanent.

Approach people who are successful in the area you are interested in and ask them for tips. Most people are happy to help and enjoy talking about their business.

Since I primarily do freelance writing, it can be tough finding jobs and there are times that it's easy to get down on myself and feel frustrated. The best advice I've ever gotten is simple: never give up. The best job might be right around the corner, and if you stop looking or applying, you just might miss it.

BY FAR...the best advice I have ever gotten was to PICK 1 thing only, and keep going until its done....no sidetracking...and when that is done, pick the next stage of the game to attack and do that, in full completion! STAY FOCUSED AND ON TRACK...do one thing at a time!

I love that and its helped me so much! :)

Yes, focus on what you are doing and you can succeed. If you have lots of information, you might end up knowing nothing at the end.
