Emotional Words to Use in your Marketing

When you write your copy, it’s a good idea to keep in mind that people buy on emotion and later justify with logic.  This means that by appealing to the buyer’s emotional side, you stand to make more sales.

Our left side of the brain is our rational side, while the right side is our emotional and creative side.   I’ve put together a list of left brain versus right brain words, to help you produce emotionally charged copy. 

Now, please keep in mind I’m not saying in any way that you should abuse your customers or write things that are untrue…. but if you have a quality produc to sell, changing a few words in your sales copy can make all the difference.

Here are a few of the most commonly used left brain words.  Simply take the word from the left brain column and replace it with the corresponding right brain word.

wealthy / rich

Please realize that no matter how many power or emotional words you use in your copy, you must first have a good grasp of your target market. 

If your message doesn’t connect with your reader instantly, then it really doesn’t matter how many of these words you use because you’ve already lost them at the start.

So first, know your market inside and out and then write emotional copy to reach them.
