I remember my mother saying the same exact thing about putting things away -- "it's just as easy to put something away in it's right place than to put it in the wrong place" As far as help... what about getting someone to help with the cleaning? I feel that as soon as you're doing more work or have more on your plate it's completely justifiable to get help! I may just do that myself once we finish fixing up the house.
