We have been very selective of our vaccinations... I think there is value to them - but, when the vaccine becomes more dangerous than the disease you are vaccinating for... something seems wrong with that picture. (not to mention the number of vaccines they do within such a short amount of time)

As far as public schools in the US - you are required to vaccinate your child for them to attend public school; HOWEVER, you can sign the form and state that you are not vaccinating for medical or religious reasons. Medical reasons requires a doctor's signature. We always go with the religious reasons -- with the belief that God has entrusted us to raise these children the best we can... and we believe that part of that means making wise choices for them - including whether or not to vaccinate.

You know Mara I'm not 100% sure but I don't think that legally they can keep children out of public school if they're not vaccinated?

I'm not sure, I know the school always asks for this information in the US (not in the UK) but I wonder if it's an actual legal requirement..

I vaccinated my kids, like the other moms, because it's what we're told we're supposed to do. Who knew that you could decide NOT to. I mean, it's a requirement if your child goes to public school, so unless you're planning to homeschool, you don't have much of a choice.

Thankfully my kids haven't had any issues with them, but if I were able to go back and do it again, I think I'd pass.

I vaccinated my first born because that is "what you're supposed to do". He's had a variety of issues and we feel that vaccines contributed to it. We haven't vaccinated the baby and won't give the first born his boosters. We've done TON of research on the topic and feel good about this decision.

I always was for vaccinating against anything and everything. I it was just the way that we've always done things. But now I'm starting to think differently.

My children have never shown any kind of side effects from bein vaccinated, but it really makes you wonder if it's just a matter of time.
