Turning Tables
November 5, 2007
It’s a rare thing for me to be the interviewee.
It’s happened a handful of times as I’ve sought publicity for previous businesses and projects that I’ve worked on. To tell you the truth, the thought of being interviewed leaves me shaking in my boots. I LOVE being on the mic when I’m in control, but when someone else is leading the way, my comfort level goes way down. I know it’s a necessary evil, but it’s not something I look forward to, despite aspiring to it.
This time though, I wasn’t really all that nervous. A little worried that the boys might decide to train an elephant in the living room or barge in with fireworks or something equally atrocious, not nervous. After all, it was with Kelly McCausey and she has a flair for putting people at ease and making a person feel comfortable.
She was interviewing me for WAHMTalkRadio, where we talked about podcast advertising.
The best part was that after she’d finished with me, I turned the tables on her and interviewed her. It’s all part of the November blogging contest at Moms Talk Radio.
What can I say? I can’t resist chocolate. I posted the results of that interview on my personal blog so I could qualify for the prize.
I seldom win anything, so I’m not holding out much hope for actually winning. I may end up having to buy my own chocolate at the end of the month, but at least I played the game ![]()

A contest with chocolate as the prize, I would have joined in the fun, too!
I heard the interview with Kelly. You didn’t sound nervous at all. I thought you did great! It was informative and I learned a lot.
You may not give interviews that often, but I think you did a wonderful job at being an interviewee.
You can still join the fun
The contest doesn’t end until the end of this month (November). You can do an audio interview or a written interview and post it to your blog to win.
And thanks for listening to the interview…getting a jolt from my five minutes of fame.
