W.A.H.M.
October 17, 2007
I got a call today from a fella who asks to speak to the station manager.
I smile inwardly and say, ‘Well I am the host, can I help you?’
“I’d like to talk to the station manager of W A H M please.”
Hmm… well, we don’t have a station manager. It’s just a radio show and I’m the owner, can I help you?
“Just a show? But I have the call letters right here: W A H M”
Yes, but those aren’t call letters. They an abbreviation for Work at Home Moms.
“You have a whole station for just Work at Home Moms?”
No, we have one show.
“You have a whole station for just one show?”
No… we’re not a station, we’re just a show for Work at Home Moms. WAHM Talk Radio.
“You have a whole show just for Work at Home Moms?”
At this point I have to giggle a little.
“Sir, I sense that you may underestimate the widespread reach of the Work at Home Mom… but in any event – I am the show owner and host so what can I help you with?”

How could you have remained so calm and nice…I would’ve said something like “Sweetheart, there’s a whole industry geared to work at home moms, please join the 21st century”
Okay, maybe I wouldn’t really say that out loud…
Don’t mess with us WAHMs
Oh my! lol What in the world did he want in the first place I wonder? How funny.
Well, there’s one of them in every bunch, isn’t there? lol He’d be amazed if he realized just how much of an impact we WAHMs have on society – in more ways that one. By golly, you better believe we have our own radio program, and more than one at that.
That is so funny! LOL! I also wonder what his initial call was about…
