Unique Direct Sales party ideas

If you're a direct sales consultants that work your business through home parties, offering party themes is a great way to increase your profits. Let your hosts know about your different themes, and they will be more likely to book more than one party. Guests who attended a certain theme will also be more likely to book in order to experience a different theme. 

The themes you offer can revolve around your company’s products. For instance, if you are with a company that offers kitchen products, you can adapt your themes and the products you showcase to different recipes you demonstrate. You can offer a chocolate lover’s night, a quick and easy meal theme, a kid-friendly theme where kids can actually get involved, etc.  

You can also adapt your themes to different holidays. Using the example of the kitchen product party plan, you can offer a cookie decorating theme for almost any holiday.  

Christmas and Hanukah are a great time to hold a gift exchange party. Have your host invite a group of friends or co-workers together that would normally hold some type of gift exchange. Have your host set a price limit and collect the money from everyone a head of time. You can collect the money and order various gifts within the price limit and have them wrapped and ready for the party. Number the various gifts; when the guests arrive they can each draw a number and when it is time to open gifts, they get the gift that corresponds with their number.  

Another take on this idea is to offer a charity party. This works great for church groups. The members can get together and buy something for themselves, as well as a product they intend to donate to a charity of the church’s choice. 

Another way to add to your bookings is to offer parties for other special events. If you are with a company that sells cosmetics, you can offer make-over parties that would work great for a teenage girl’s birthday party. You could also offer special bridal parties for the brides and the bridal party. Bridal shower themes are also great for those in home interior or kitchen product companies. These types of products also work well for people buying their first home.  

If you have products related to scrapbooking, have each guest make a scrapbook page and offer the scrapbook to a mom-to-be at a baby shower themed party. Baby shower themes can also be adapted for companies that sell toys, books, and other products for children. If you sell these types of products, you can also offer parties during the summer or winter breaks from school. They are a great way to keep kids occupied and moms can get together and socialize a bit.
