Consultants earn 25% commission on their sales and can earn additional income by building a team of sponsored consultants. The company also offers an incentive program that rewards consultants with vacation trips. The starter kit containing products and business supplies is priced just under $200.

Consultant websites are available from the company and while online ordering is not generally available, guests invited to home parties can place an order online for that party.

Southern Living at Home launched in 2001. It is currently owned by Entertaining at Home, a private company headquartered in Wisconsin. In August, 2010 the two companies will be combined to form a new company called Willow House.
