What are "Paid for" Opportunities?
"Paid for" is exactly that. It is work of some kind that you are
paid for. In this age of the computer, much of it relates to online
business and traffic, or web page hits.
One opportunity is the "click" program. A company will assign you a
list of sites, and you will be required to "land" on that page for a
minimum of X seconds, usually 20, before leaving and going on to the
next. You will only be allowed to visit the site once each day, and
may only be required to visit all sites once, before getting a new
list. Payment is either in credits per click, which accrue and are
converted to cash, or they are in cash. However the pay is very
minimal, and it takes a lot of mouse work to make a few dollars.
That's why many people have gone to the auto-surfer programs. This
software will open a list of sites in your browser window, moving on
to the next by a built-in timer. There's no hands-on work required,
but again, the pay is very minimal. Auto-surfer programs are also
prone to scams, called auto-surfer Ponzi programs, named after a
famous Italian scammer from 1903. These involve making an
investment, for which you are guaranteed what seems to be an
excellent return on your money, earned on a daily/weekly/monthly
basis. Avoid these at all costs.
Another opportunity is pay for clicking banners or emails. This
works the same way as surfing sites, with credits or cash for each
click. In the case of emails, those are usually a daily or weekly
letter sent out by a company, which contains paid advertising, and
you are required to click through to each site.
You can also earn cash by signing up for free programs, from a list
you are given by the company you work for. After sending them your
welcome email from the signup, you are credited for that site.
Although these programs may not be illegal, they are certainly
unethical. When businesses pay money to advertise, they expect that
potential consumers will view their ads, not people who are paid to
view their ads.
