Beach Themed Gift Basket

Summer wouldn’t be any fun without a trip to the beach. We get to soak up the sun, feel the sand between our toes, and get away from it all with the family. To get ready for that beach trip, hopefully someone will give you a beach gift basket.

What do we need for the beach? There are the necessities like sunscreen, an umbrella, flip flops, a hat, and sunglasses. All of these items go into any basket that involves fun in the sun.

If someone is planning to go to a particular beach that you have knowledge of, the items in the beach gift basket can pertain specifically to what they may be doing there. For instance, if they are heading to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, throw in a roll of quarters. At the Broadway on the Beach pier, you can put a quarter in a candy-type machine and get food to feed the carp that congregate just underneath the pier. Kids love to see those huge fish.

Maybe this is a romantic beach getaway. It wouldn’t be out of the question to include a couple of wine glasses and a bottle of your favorite bubbly or some sparkling grape juice. You can include both if you want.

Bringing kids along? Well, they will need some utensils for making those sand castles and little homes for the hermit crabs. A couple of buckets with shovels and spades will do. Don’t forget a jar for them to capture some of that sand and bring it back home.

When going to the beach for a holiday, most people have enough time thinking about what to pack as far as clothing for the trip. Make the beach portion of the trip easy by including everything they need to sit in the sun with no worries.

Everyone gets their own beach towel. That way the kids can play while the parents relax under the umbrella. For all of these goodies, you’ll need a huge basket. Decorate with sea shells, starfish, and cover with a fish net (from the craft store and minus the fish guts!).

Summer wouldn’t be summer without a romp in the sand at the beach. Furnish a beach gift basket for someone you know who’s heading that way.
