Creating a Crafter's Gift Basket

People who have the ability to create beautiful things are to be admired. Most don’t have the patience to come up with new creations, but there are a treasured few that do. For these people, crafting is a gift that they can share with the world.

On any occasion that calls for giving a gift to one of these people, consider giving them a crafter’s basket. This gift basket can contain any and all types of crafting materials they would use to create their special products. Actually, pulling together a gift basket for them is fun.

A crafter learns to see everything around them as a new project. With that in mind, even the gift basket needs to be functional. Let it be something that they can use later. The basket could be deep like a basket that would hold rolls of fabric or paper and other accessories. When all of the goodies have been emptied out, it can hold finished crafts or supplies.

What types of crafts do they create? In the crafting world, every person has their own niche. There are scrapbookers, seamstresses, toy makers, silk flower arrangers, crocheters, knitters, bead workers, and the like. The field is wide open.

You know your crafter better than anyone else. Maybe there is something that they have been wanting to purchase but haven’t been able to. This can be the centerpiece of your basket or you can provide the means for them to pick out the model they want.

Scrapbookers, for example, love to purchase embellishments, stickers, colorful pages, and new scrapbooks. Fill a basket with all of these things in styles and colors they would appreciate. It’s like being a kid in a candy shop.

To neatly arrange the basket, include containers to hold all of the tiny things and loose supplies you purchase. Add to the surprise by hiding items in these containers. That way, you can add more to the basket.

If others want to contribute, create a list of things to go into the basket. One person can be responsible for decorating the basket, another for choosing the basket, and yet another for arranging the items once they are gathered.

A crafting gift basket will satisfy any creative mind. Give them a huge variety of things to use for years to come.
