Easter Gift Basket
We
celebrate with eggs, bunnies, and chicks. It is also a religious
holiday when the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is
celebrated. For Easter, there are ways to decorate a fantastic
basket for children and adults alike.
Kids love to wake up on Easter morning and find gifts of treats and
trinkets at the end of their beds. Commercially created baskets are
everywhere in stores for parents to buy. These are okay when you are
in a pinch but a basket that you create for your children says that
you took the time to give them a gift that was uniquely for them.
Do they like stuffed animals? Add a few to the basket. For a boy,
little race cars or action figures would make them smile.
For a girl, a doll or two, combined with some hair accessories or
play jewelry meets her needs. Choose their favorite colors. This is
something that you can’t do with a premade basket.
When it comes to sweets, most baskets contain candy bars, hard
candy, and other tasty tidbits. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with
a toothbrush to remove those candy bits from their teeth afterwards.
Parents can substitute such unfriendly tooth fare with healthier
snacks. Gummi candies, miniature chocolate bars, and sugarless gum
are far better than the alternatives.
Religious gift baskets are also appropriate for Easter. To enhance
their faith, give a friend a basket filled with faith and hope.
Knowing their faith and their preferences, fill a basket with a few
books on Easter, cross jewelry, pens, journals, and other religious
symbols.
Beautiful paintings of religious scenes or paperweights with
scriptures inscribed on them work for men and women. Thomas Kinkade
faith inspired lithographs make perfect gifts. CD’s of Easter music
and soothing sounds will create a relaxing mood as they read or
write in a journal.
Include a few snacks for the adults to enjoy as well. We all like
sweets. What about decorating? A few of the smaller items can be
taped around the basket.
If you are worried that tape will get messy, stick a piece of tape
on the back of the items and attach them to the side of the basket.
To ensure they stay, sit the basket inside a cellophane bag and tie
with a decorative ribbon.
Easter brings treats and faith. Combine them both in a gift basket.
