Creating a Fudge Lovers Gift Basket

Chocolate can be a person’s best friend. It is comfort food for the body and soul. Someone with an extreme sweet tooth would greatly appreciate receiving a gift basket filled with delicious chunks of handmade fudge.

Food gift baskets are a good idea, but keep safety in mind. Store the fudge at a cool temperature with very little humidity until you are ready to add it to the gift basket. Wherever you purchase it, ask the store manager for tips on keeping the fudge fresh.

A gift basket filled with fudge doesn’t have to be very big. It can be round and shallow like a cookie tin only in basket form. Other items can accompany the fudge if you decide to go with a large basket. Fudge comes in many flavors besides chocolate. Chocolate may be the frontrunner, but there is peanut butter, white chocolate, butterscotch, peppermint, and a whole host of others to choose from. Include a sampling of a variety of fudge flavors along with bigger portions of the recipient’s favorite types.

While readymade fudge will be included in the basket, the fudge lover may want to make their own batch sometime. Bags of nuts, parchment paper, a shallow baking dish, spatulas, and a candy thermometer will get them started on the road to creating their own delectable fudge.

What do you have with fudge? Milk would taste good but you can’t put a gallon of milk in the gift basket. Instead of the actual milk, a gift card to the grocery store will do the trick. They can buy as much milk as they will need to wash down that sweet fudge.

A fudge cookbook will provide ideas for those fudge making sessions. Leaf through the pages to find a cookbook that shows step-by-step technique in addition to recipes. For people without a fudge or confectionary nearby, there is always the Internet. They won’t mind if you order their favorite fudge creations from a store that knows all about fudge.

We avoid sweets because they are fattening but they sure are fun to eat. Fudge lovers have learned to appreciate and embrace their sweet cravings. Help them out with a gift basket made especially to suit their needs.
