New Years Eve Gift Basket

It is the last day of the year. Everyone is saying goodbye to the past and looking forward to the future. Parties are in full swing as people sing out the old year and cajole in the new one. Here are some ideas for New Year’s Eve baskets.

Give these gift baskets to friends, family members, and party hosts as a way of wishing them well in the New Year. If you have several people you want to bless with such a basket, use the ideas here to create several baskets instead of putting everything into one.

Everyone makes New Year’s resolutions. They are supposed to be our guide for goal setting for the coming year. Some we will accomplish and others will go on the list again next year. Either way, we need a way to remember them. The gift basket can be equipped with a notepad or a journal and pens to jot down their resolutions.

Will you celebrate with friends that night? You’ll need a way to celebrate. Noisemakers, whistles, banners, and sparklers are all great for ringing in the New Year. It wouldn’t be a party without hats. Include a few for the person to share with friends.

Take a toast to their health. The New Year’s Eve basket will be a hit with a couple of glasses and a bottle of sparkling cider. If the gift basket recipient is hosting the party, exchange the cider for champagne since they won’t be driving.

Party’s always need snacks. Peanuts, chips, candies, and popcorn are finger foods that can be shared with party guests. These aren’t ordinary chips and snacks. Add a variety of spicy nuts, barbeque chips, and flavored popcorn.

The decorations will be in the basket instead of on it. Banners that say “Happy New Year,” pins to share with others, and other decorations will make that person’s home the place to be when the clock strikes midnight.
