Snack Themed Gift Baskets

Snacking is probably an American pastime.  When we are watching television, hanging out with friends, or doing homework, nothing gets us going like our favorite snack.  Here are some ideas for putting together a snack gift basket for someone that you know.

Choose a basket.  It will be big enough to stuff all of their favorite snacks into.  A basket without handles can double as the snack holder as well.  Once they pull all of the decorative paper out of the bottom, the basket would look great on the counter or coffee table.

Does this person have their comfort snacks?  These are those snacks that are probably bad for us but we love them anyway because they taste so darn good.  Use these snacks to create the outer ring of snacks in the basket. 

So that we aren’t expanding the waistline of our friend or family member, add some healthier snacks to the basket to the inside of the more fun ones.  Many of the snacks we like now come in healthier versions.  Add some of these in a variety of flavors. 

There’s no reason why we can’t introduce them to some new snack varieties.  Maybe they’ve never tired dried fruit, barbequed pretzels, or veggie chips.  It’s worth a try to put them in the snack gift basket.  If they get hungry, they will eat them.  Perhaps, they will discover they like to eat healthier snacks.

Help the snack lover to share their good food.  Include small serving bowls, napkins, and other things that would interest a snack lover. 

How should the gift basket look?  Well, if the snacks will be traveling with the person wherever they go, you might want to consider a basket with a lid.  That way, if the snack person decides to visit friends and bring the goodies with them, they’ll have an easier time doing it.   

There is no need to decorate a snack basket.  The snacks themselves are decoration enough.  Once they’ve been spotted, nothing else will matter.  Snack people are just that way. 

Do you enjoy a good snack or know someone else who does?  The next time they have a birthday or get a promotion at work, reward them with a snack gift basket.
