Valentine’s Day Gift Basket

It is the holiday of love. The amount of candy sold for this occasion rivals Halloween night. A Valentine’s Day basket is a great alternative to the proverbial flowers and box of candy.

What is the point of Valentine’s Day? We show how we feel about those we love. The gift can be brotherly love for a sister or another family member. It can also be parental love for a parent or grandparent.

Of course, the most celebrated reason for Valentine’s Day is the erotic love between two people. For this reason dozens of roses, boxes of chocolates and greeting cards are purchased. This year, try something different.

Gift baskets work for both men and women. To fill it with love, fill it with things that they love. Instead of chocolate (which adds to the waistline), add some golf balls or fishing lures for the guys. If outdoor sports are not exactly their thing, add a few techie gadgets.

For the ladies, this gets to be a bit tricky. Ladies do love chocolate, but this is not a Valentine’s Day gift really. They can get chocolate at any time. Try something new.

Girls like jewelry, clothing, new fragrances, and other feminine things. A Valentine’s basket filled with sexy lingerie, a tennis bracelet, some earrings, a new fragrance, will all appeal to your love more than a box of chocolates. Now, this basket can get costly but you can’t put a dollar value on how you feel about someone.

For the occasion, there are heart-shaped baskets, tall baskets, red basket, and ordinary gift baskets. Even choosing a regular basket, it can be dressed up with decorations that are tasteful and not over the top. Take a bit of ribbon imprinted with hearts and flowers to wind around the handle or through the weaving of the basket bottom.

Roses are still nice but silk one will last longer. Stick a few into the sides of the basket. The ribbon will be okay for the man in your life. He’ll just give the roses to you.

There are so many items available for Valentine’s Day. Have fun playing with the basket. Don’t worry, there’s always next year.
