Hi ,
Before we get into this week's topic, we just wanted to remind you that you can
still get in on our All Health Content charter membership:
http://www.AllHealthContent.com/apv.html
If you target the health market
or love to share health-lifestyle ideas with your readers, this is perfect for
many, many New Year's Solutions that will be made in just a few weeks from now.
:-)
Speaking of the New Year, let's talk about the common New Year slow-down many
businesses experience:
If you’re selling consumer products you’ll probably be quite busy this December.
Unfortunately, after the Holiday sales spikes comes the January slow down. If
you’re selling products you’re probably already familiar with sales slowing down
the first few weeks or months of the year.
There are a couple things you can do to prepare yourself:
1. One is to focus on what your readers are focused on. We already talked about
health, New Year's Resolutions and how you can tap into that.
Check it out here:
http://www.allhealthcontent.com/apv.html
2. Another thing you can do is adding information products to your selling
arsenal. When the funds might not be coming in so readily, you might be hesitant
to invest a lot of money into your business.
Information products allow you to add a new product with little expense...plus
now that the busy season is over, you have time to dedicate yourself to creating
your first (or second or third!) information product.
Now you may be thinking, "But I sell candles how can I write an information
product about candles?" Well you don’t necessarily have to write about candles,
people interested in candles may also be interested in home organization or
aroma therapy. Talk to your customers and readers and find out what information
they are craving.
If you sell personalized candy wrappers you may be able to write
about how to throw the perfect kids party. Or you might even give
them ideas on how to start their own candy-wrapping
business...and show them how they can buy all their supplies from
you!
You can write information products in just about any market.
People go on the net to search for information and often times
they’re quite happy to pay for the information rather than spend
their valuable time surfing through a ton of sites to find the
freebies. Huge sellers like ClickBank.com are testament to this
fact.
Here are a few more reasons why every online business owner
should have their own information product:
- They add great value to your customers and readers and they’re
relatively easy to put together.
- You do the work once and you'll have a product that will keep
producing for you over and over again.
- You can create an affiliate program and get others to promote
your product.
- You can take a short portion of the product, turn it into a
free report and use it to build your mailing list (and of course
promote your paid product).
- It's an extra passive income stream for your business,
especially when everything is downloaded right off the Internet.
There's no need to go to the post office.

Week in Review
Last Monday, dubbed "Cyber Monday" is supposedly the online shopping equivalent
of brick and mortar businesses' Black Friday. ComScore Networks reports that
it was the biggest recorded online spending day with a 26% increase in sales
this year compared to last . They expect to see more record breaking days later
this month, probably next week.
Nielsen/NetRatings reported that apparel and accessories enjoyed the highest
share of online revenue, followed by office supplies, and computer hardware.

The chat rooms are relatively quiet for the next couple of weeks so if you can
still deliver holiday gifts it's the perfect time to schedule an online party.
Stop by this week for jewelry and Internet security or to start a business
selling non-toxic products, video email or cosmetics.
