The last couple of weeks have certainly been busy "get organized" weeks. After recently taking an amazing and eye-opening e-coaching course with Jimmy D. Brown - of List And Traffic Fame I have really become focused on systematizing my business and making sure that anyone could step in and work on any aspect of
my business.

But why would I want to let other people step in and take over my business?

As a mother, you know how life can take you away from your business at any moment. What if you're kids are ill...or what if something happens to you and you can't work for at all for a while. What would happen to your business? You need to have things set up so that people you trust can step in and run things while you're away.

It's also unrealistic for you to try to perform every task in your business. If you do, you're bound to burn out and you won't reach your maximum profitability. If you are so busy answering emails and performing administrative tasks, you can't focus on the most important aspect of your business and that important task is MARKETING and promoting your website.

As part of the plan to systematize my business, we finally set up a support ticket system (and I couldn't have done it with my trusty programmer and helpers - Thanks Lynette, Linda, Nell, Tara, Heather & Ellie!). With multiple websites, multiple products and so many people asking for help - it was a long time coming. I just wish I'd done it earlier...a lot earlier.

The ticket system means anyone authorized can go in and answer questions. We are also working on creating an extensive FAQ which will help answer most support questions and we'll be able to build on that FAQ with the record the ticket system will create.

You might be thinking that you wouldn't need such a system if you don't receive large volumes of email or don't have multiple people helping you out with your business.

It's just not so.

With a ticket system, you have a record of all the questions you received and responses, so that you can easily formulate an FAQ to save time for yourself and your customers. You probably also know that it's not always easy to communicate with customers via email. With so many filters going on, email frequently gets lost. A ticket system helps you stay in touch with your customers because they can log into your website anytime to see the responses to their requests.
