Hello,
If you haven't heard me say it enough, how well you take care of
yourself has a direct impact on how well you do in business. And
more importantly, a mother who takes care of herself is always a
more effective parent.
If you're tired all the time, it helps no one. If you work so
hard that you forget to eat proper meals, it helps no one. If you
spend your entire day sitting at a computer chair, it helps no
one.
You just end up being an overworked, tired, out-of-shape mama
with little energy to do anything else. Trust me, I've been
there.
Now, I'm not what you'd call a health nut and you'll definitely
see me at the McDonald's drive-thru now and again. :-) But you'll
also see me at the gym (while my kids have a great time in the
kid's play area) and getting out of the house with my family
frequently.
The result has been:
- A more efficient business because I'm much more focused in my
limited work time.
- A happier family because they get more time with mom...and we
are outside of the house having fun.
- A happier me because I have more energy and time for myself
too.
I know that many moms in business already "know" this, but I also
know that many moms DO NOT ACT on that knowledge. That's why I've
created a website dedicated to mom's health. It has a growing
library of resources and I highly encourage you to sign up for
the weekly health tips (look at the top right of the page for the
sign up box) to give you the push that you need to be just a
little bit more healthy.
Do it for yourself, your business and your family:

...and don't forget to sign up for the f r e e weekly tips.
They're just quick and easy-to-apply tips for a healthier you.

WAHM Talk Radio Notes from Kelly
This past week found me without a voice for the second time this
winter. Tara Crooks of Army Wife Talk Radio and Advertising Moms
came to my rescue as Guest Host for the show. Thanks Tara!
This week we meet two more WAHM MVP Nominees. Susie Glennan,
owner of The Busy Woman Daily Planner and Nicole Dean, owner of
Show Mom The Money and Lady Pens. Nicole is no stranger to the
MVP contest - she was our big winner last year.
I am really disappointed that I didn't get to interview all of
our MVP nominees during the voting period. It's a busy bunch of
women I can tell that much. Next week we'll have the results of
our voting so be sure to come on back!
Visit the MVP Page to learn more about all of our nominees and
place your vote! We have just one week left!
