Hello,
As promised, I'm back with some updates on the auto-surf and
money-making schemes Kelly and I told you about a few weeks
back. When Kelly and I talked, we mentioned that one company
was being investigated by authorities for being a possible
Ponzi scheme. Well, that company now has fraud charges against
it from the Federal Securities Exchange Commission.
You can read more here:
http://www.sec.gov/litigation/litreleases/lr19579.htm
In response, many auto-surfs have shut down and others are
changing the way they run things to try to comply with the law.
Regardless, of whether they are legal or illegal, auto- surfs
are not a targeted source of advertising and, in this humble
mama's opinion, you'd be wise to stay clear and avoid any
potential headaches.
And realize that even Google doesn't allow you to put your
websites with Adsense into such programs. As I'm sure you'll
agree, Google KNOWS advertising and if they don't see it as a
targeted venue for their advertisers, it's probably not
worthwhile.
Here it is from the Google Adsense Program Terms:
"Prohibited Clicks and Impressions
Any method that artificially generates clicks or impressions is
strictly prohibited. These prohibited methods include but are
not limited to: repeated manual clicks or impressions,
incentives to click or to generate impressions, using robots,
automated click and impression generating tools, or other
deceptive software. Please note that clicking on your own ads
for any reason is prohibited, to avoid potential inflation of
advertiser costs."
which you can find at: https://www.google.com/adsense/policies
You might also want to check the legal jargon under "Prohibited
Uses" at: https://www.google.com/adsense/terms
BUT - outside of advertising, I did want to talk to you about
money-making scams and get-rich-quick schemes on the Internet.
Opening my eyes to the whole auto-surf industry showed me that
there are many moms who follow scheme after scheme without
regard to legality or financial feasibility. And worse yet,
these schemes almost always need people to bring other people
in on the scheme too.
We've created a whole section with 10 articles dedicated to
educate moms on "Get Rich Quick Schemes". I hope you'll read
through, not only to protect yourself, but to protect other
members of the work at home mom community too:

And if I don't say it enough - If it sounds too good to be
true, it probably is.
Take care,
Alice Seba

Week at a Glance
A business opportunity chat can be a great place to start
"interviewing" for a direct sales sponsor. At the same time you
get your questions about the company answered, you can get a
sense of the consultant's working style and your compatibility.
Stop by this week and learn about starting a business with
companies that sell scrapbooking supplies, travel, stuffed toys,
wellness products, gourmet food, home entertaining products, and
aromatherapy.
