Hi,
We have a few updates and announcements for you this week, but first I want to
ask you a very important question - What would you like to see at Internet Based
Moms?
We’re making some site additions in September and would love to have your
feedback. If you have any questions or need specific help, let us know! Just
reply to this email and send us all your suggestions, questions and comments…
don’t be shy.
I hope by now you’ve had a chance to take a look at our Expert Blogs and ask
your questions!
This week I want to introduce you to another one of our
experts - Jenni Hunt. Jenni is our eBay expert and I’ve been very impressed with
how she’s built her business over the last couple of years.
She’s recently launched her Auction Overhaul system which gives you valuable
tips and techniques for listing your auctions. These are the same strategies
Jenni has used to build her own eBay business and she’s not holding back. You
can learn more here:

And moving on with our inspiration series, this week we’re featuring another
successful work at home mom. Shannon Cherry, owner of CherryCommunications.com,
is a publicity expert and mom to twin girls. Her story of leaving her “evil”
boss behind and building her own virtual publicity company is very inspiring.
Learn more about Shannon here:

WAHM Talk Radio Notes from Kelly
Sarah Robinson returns to talk more about Profit, Purpose and Beyond.
Nicole Donnelly of BabyLegs.net joins Kelly to talk about her journey from stay
at home mom to big business owner. The BabyLegs concept was discovered in April
2005 when Donnelly, then a stay-at-home-mom, cut off the feet of adult socks to
use them as leg warmers for her daughter, Sara, to help a diaper rash heal while
keeping Sara warm. This impromptu invention not only allowed Sara's rash to
heal, but also protected her from the elements, made diaper changes quick and
easy, kept her knees protected while crawling, and provided sun protection. Just
two years after starting her home business in the Seattle area, Donnelly's
BabyLegs has expanded into more than 45 countries and five continents, from
Israel to Iceland and South Africa to South Korea.
Be sure to tune in to find out who our first 'Who Should Win' winner is and to
learn about what we're giving away this week.
For the WAHM & her Family,
Kelly McCausey

Let’s talk a minute about the chat rooms. Chat rooms have a variety of uses.
They can be used to host an online sales party, share your business opportunity,
hold a workshop or simply network with others.
When scheduling a chat, here are some things you may want to keep mind:
1. Try to schedule your chat at least two weeks in advance. This allows for time
to promote and send out reminders to people.
2. Word your chat description so that it is more than an ad. The more personal
and friendly it sounds, the more people you will attract.
3. Last but not least, include the start/end times for each time zone. Listing
these out will eliminate confusion.
To view upcoming chats or to schedule one of your own, consult our interactive
calendar at

As often happens when we start a home business, we find that our focus shifts as
we learn and grow. One of the challenges of this is determining how to
transition from the old focus to the new without having to start completely
over. One of our forum members posed this question and received many great
suggestions. You can read them here:

What the heck is Moguling? This is a term I’d never heard until someone asked
what the difference was between moguling and blogging. To share your thoughts
and opinions:

On the expert blogs, I picked Lynette’s brain about audio/video recording
software. I needed to know about programs that would allow me to make videos of
tasks that I do on my desktop. She offered some great inexpensive and even free
programs.

Customer service is a part of every business. Although usually routine, there
will be times when you have to deal with angry patrons. Elaine has written a
great piece on how to deal with an upset customer.
