A Note From Mila
Hi,
I
hope you had a great weekend. We had
a fun-filled weekend shopping for Halloween costumes and the biggest pumpkin
ever made, because of course you can’t just choose “any old pumpkin mom.”
Apparently there are rules associated with pumpkin shopping I wasn’t aware of,
but we got through it in the end and I’ll be scooping out pumpkins later today…
all in a days work!
This week, we have tons of new business ideas for you. If you’re in the
process of finding the right business idea or looking for some new inspiration,
we have over 30 new business ideas you can easily start from home.
We’ve also added a step-by-step tutorial which will be helpful to anyone
wanting to start a home business. It walks you through the different options and
includes some important tips for getting started.
You can find both the new ideas and tutorial on this page:

Our featured success article asks a very important question – “Are you scared
of selling?” It includes a few tips to help you overcome selling shyness. And we

Have a safe and fun Halloween!
Wishing you much
success,

Boo! Are you
scared of selling?
By Mila Sidman
Why
is it that some of us are just plain scared or shy when it comes to selling? We
spend a lot of time putting together our websites, products and offers and yet
when it’s time to promote them we panic.
If you have something of value to offer
you shouldn’t let fear hold you back from promoting it. Be proud and don’t be
afraid to toot your own horn once in a while. I’m not saying go out and
endlessly brag about yourself, but don’t be shy to make suggestions, after all
you started your business to make money right?
Here are a few ideas to ensure you’re
not selling yourself short:
Make Recommendations
– Have a look through your website pages and see if there is any space to make
helpful recommendations to your customers. It’s great that you’re offering a
free article or tips and advice but make sure you offer a quality product that
can further help your customer solve their problems.
Advertise Yourself
– Show your expertise by writing articles, blog posts and answering questions in
forums that will help other people. If you have something to say don’t be
afraid of sharing that information on a forum or blog. If you’re sincerely
helpful other people will take notice… you are your best advertising weapon, use
it wisely.
Measured Modesty
– A little modesty never hurt anyone and humility is often a good thing, but
don’t go too far, especially early on in business. Don’t talk down your
strengths, products or services or people may just believe you. If someone
offers you a compliment smile, thank them sincerely and enjoy it! But be
careful not to overdo it, no one likes a show off.
Talk Yourself Up
– Take a little time each day to reflect on your strengths. We all have areas
we can improve so don’t worry about those, instead focus on the things you’re
good at. Remind yourself how far you’ve come and of what you have offer. Your
confidence will have a positive effect on you and others.
Remember This
– The key to selling is to always remember you have something that will help
other people. Whether it’s a course, a service or a product you have something
that will make their lives easier. Now, in order to do this, your product and
services need to be up to scratch. If you have doubts about what you’re selling
how could you possibly convince others?
Confident selling takes a little time.
Start slowly with people you know and trust and work your way up from there.
Each positive step will build your confidence and eventually you’ll be a pro.
Inevitably you will have some setbacks but don’t let those stray you from your
main goal.
