In order to establish an Internet-based company,
networking is crucial. When working from home, email is a
wonderful way to make virtual introductions and establish
contacts. The same formula for introductions applies whether
making an introduction in person or through email.
In business, gender does not play a role.
Persons of lesser authority are introduced
to persons of greater authority, regardless of their
gender. To do this properly, one should say or write the
following, "James [greater authority –
as the Client], I would like to introduce to you
Mary
[lesser authority – as the Web Designer].
Mary is my web designer and she may be a great asset for your
firm.” It is important to note that clients are always
considered greater authority.
