Working outside the home combined with
all of the daily tasks needed to be done after work hardly
gives most people the time to prepare meals from scratch. To

cooking for one month all in one day, usually on a Saturday.
Here are some meals you can cook in one

1. Make a large pot of red sauce; marinara is

put them in the freezer. Each container should serve a family of
four.

containers to be placed in the freezer as well.
3. Chicken cacciatore is another dish you can make in one day and
can also be frozen for later use.
4. Meatballs. These can be placed in freezer bags and saved for
pasta dinners later on. Remember, you have already made the sauce
for this delicious dinner.
5. Chicken Soup. This is a wonderful meal that can be served at any
time, but can also be used to make vegetable soup as well.
6. Beans and Escarole can also be made in a full pot and stored in
the freezer. This is one of the healthiest meals you can make for
your family.
The beauty of cooking for one month is that you can mix and match
the ingredients as you serve meals. For example, the marinara sauce
can be used with pasta, vegetable soup, chicken cacciatore, and
eggplant parmagian.
The chicken soup can be used in vegetable soups, stews, and chicken
legs in a post with marinara sauce and vegetables.
The idea is to make enough of everything so that when it is time to
prepare dinner, all you need to do is to take out each container in
the morning before going to work, and it will be ready to heat up by
the time you arrive home.
In addition, you can also buy herbs and vegetables and wrap them in
a paper towel and place them in a storage bag. Put them into the
refrigerator until you are ready to use them. Some vegetables can be
stored for up to 4 weeks.
